Life is Short! Love the Life You Live

Updated: May 24, 2022

Your Happiness exists NOW!

You may not have the exact life you want, but there's a good chance you can love the life you have a little more each day!

We can make ourselves unhappier than we need to be and may not know how to implement improvements to make our lives more enjoyable. We often focus on the things that are not going well, fail to see the good in our lives and tolerate more than we should.

Implement small changes so you can love your life NOW!

Get rid of the things that annoy you. Life would be pretty good if you didn’t have to deal with small annoyances, so what can you do to make yourself happier? Make a list of everything that annoys you. It might be an overflowing kitchen junk drawer, a squeaky bed, leaky faucet, insufficient income, or weeds in the yard. Start working on this list and eliminate them one at a time. You'll be amazed how much more you like your life as the list gets smaller.

Reach out to your friends. Life can get so busy that we lose touch with the people we enjoy the most. Loving your life is about adding value and positivity each day. Adding friends back into your life will give you support, laughs, and great memories.

Give yourself something to look forward to. In life, we all need something to look forward to, whether it's a spa day, doing something from your bucket list, or just taking a walk in nature. Plan something in the future that excites you, and your life will be more enjoyable.

Take regular steps to improve your life. It's exciting when we experience making progress in life and enjoy seeing improvement in the things we do. Whether it's losing five pounds, practicing your tennis swing, getting better at painting, or adding another $100 to your bank account.

Focus on the areas you want to improve and make progress each week.

Let go of the past. Spending time and energy reliving negative experiences from the past only degrades your mood and your life. Let it Go. I know it's easier said than done; however, every time you relive a memory, you give your energy to that person or event, and it's stealing your happiness. Reclaim your energy by repeating, "this has no power over me," and move on with your day.

Keep a gratitude log. List the things that make you feel grateful. This log is a great way to recognize the positive things that already exist in your life. Make a habit of writing down at least five things each day. They don't have to be monumental, and it could be as simple as sitting in the sunshine, finding your favorite item on sale, sitting under a fuzzy blanket, and reading a book. The more we acknowledge what we have and often take for granted, the more happiness we experience.

Keep your eyes open for opportunities. Opportunities to enhance your life are all around you. There are people to date, jobs that pay better and are more enjoyable, potential friends, activities you've never considered, educational opportunities, and many other opportunities right in front of you. Expect a day full of miracles!

Take care of yourself. Get some sleep, hit the gym, eat better, and buy new clothes. Be nicer to yourself, use kind and gentle words when speaking to yourself (as if you were talking to your best friend), be loving to yourself, and you'll notice how much more enjoyable your life is.

Participate in a hobby that you love or find a new one. There's more to life than work and maintaining the status quo. Stop putting off learning new things that you've always wanted to do. Being creative reduces anxiety, depression, and stress and boosts your dopamine, a natural anti-depressant and happiness hormone.

A hobby is a great way to explore your interests, socialize and have fun.

Remove distractions. Distractions rob you of time and inhibit your progress. You can't make your life completely free of distractions, but you can come close when practicing being in the moment. When you think about something else, you are less happy than what you are doing. Free yourself of distractions to love your life more.

Happiness is a skill than having a particular set of circumstances. Your life will be much more enjoyable when you pay attention to the things that bring you joy and have a new perspective. You can love the life you have without doing anything drastic or winning the lottery.

When you Love your life, you are happier, have more positivity, expect miracles in your life, and love yourself.

Your life is better than you think. You can also make your life better with just a few minor changes.
